Privacy, Terms & Refunds
Instant Tutor (instanttutorai.com, the Student Portal and the Parent Portal) is built and operated by Educational Tutorial Services ("ETS", "we", "us"), a K-12 tutoring company based in Pennsylvania, USA. Questions about anything on this page: info@educationaltutorialservices.com.
Privacy Policy
Effective October 13, 2026
This policy explains what information Instant Tutor collects, why, and the choices you have. It is written for parents, because a parent or guardian makes the purchase and decides how a child uses the portals.
1. Information we collect
When you buy. Checkout is handled by Stripe (card) or PayPal. We receive the name and email address you enter at checkout, a payment reference, and the amount paid. Your card number goes to Stripe or PayPal and is never stored on our servers.
When your child uses the portals. The learning tools work on what your child types or uploads: questions, essays, photos of homework or report cards, quiz and practice-test answers, saved goals and journal entries, a chosen nickname or avatar, and a grade level. Some of this is kept only in the browser on the device you use (so it is there next time); saved work and results such as essays, test scores and study-session logs may also be stored on our servers so progress can be shown over time.
Technical information. Like most websites we log IP addresses, browser type, pages requested and timestamps for security, rate limiting and troubleshooting. The device you unlock a portal on stores your access code locally so you are not asked for it again.
Advertising measurement (sales page only). Our sales page at instanttutorai.com/get-started uses the Pinterest tag, and may use TikTok and Google tags, so we can tell whether an ad led to a visit or a purchase. These tags set cookies or identifiers and report the visit or purchase event to those platforms under their own policies. They are not present on the Student Portal or the Parent Portal, and no advertising is shown inside either portal.
2. How we use information
- To provide the service: answer questions, scan homework and report cards, save and display your child's progress.
- To send your purchase confirmation, portal links and access code, and to reply when you contact us.
- To process refunds and keep the purchase records a business is required to keep.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and improve the tools using aggregate, non-identifying usage patterns.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles of children.
3. How the AI tools process what your child enters
To generate an answer, the text or image your child submits is sent to the AI providers we use (currently OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and Perplexity, some reached through a managed gateway operated by our hosting provider, Replit). Each answer is checked across several independent providers before it is shown. The providers' API terms do not allow them to use this content to train their models.
Before text leaves our servers we automatically strip formatted personal identifiers such as email addresses, phone numbers and Social Security numbers. Photos are sent as images, so please crop out names and ID numbers when you photograph a report card. The tools do not need your child's full name, school or address to work, and we ask that you not type them into questions.
4. Children's privacy
Instant Tutor is designed for K-12 students and must be purchased by an adult. By purchasing and giving your child the portal links, you consent as the parent or guardian to the collection and use described here. We collect from children only what is needed to operate the learning tools, we never make a child's information public, and we never use it for targeted advertising. You can review what we hold or ask us to delete it at any time by emailing info@educationaltutorialservices.com from the address used at checkout (or quoting your access code). Information stored only on your device can be removed by clearing that browser's site data.
We do not receive records from your child's school, and we never contact a child directly.
5. Who we share information with
Only service providers that help us run Instant Tutor, each limited to what their job requires: Stripe and PayPal (payments), Replit (hosting and AI gateway), Neon (database), Resend (transactional email), the AI providers in section 3, and the advertising-measurement platforms in section 1 (sales page only). We will also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect the safety of a child or the integrity of the service.
6. Retention and security
Purchase records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Portal data is kept while the service is in use and deleted on request. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security. All traffic uses HTTPS, access to systems is restricted, and payment card data never touches our servers.
7. Your choices and rights
- Access, correct or delete your family's information: email us (section 4).
- Advertising cookies: block or clear them in your browser, or use the opt-out settings offered by Pinterest, TikTok and Google. The portals work without them.
- Residents of California and other U.S. states with privacy laws: we do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it, and you may exercise your access and deletion rights by email. We will not treat you differently for doing so.
8. Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a way that matters to you, we will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for significant changes, email purchasers. Contact: Educational Tutorial Services, info@educationaltutorialservices.com.
Terms of Use
Effective October 13, 2026
1. The agreement
These terms are between you and Educational Tutorial Services and cover the Instant Tutor sales page, the Student Portal and the Parent Portal. By purchasing or using Instant Tutor you accept them, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy on this page. You must be at least 18 to purchase.
2. What you are buying
A one-time payment of $14.95 (USD) gives your household ongoing access to the Student Portal and the Parent Portal, including every tool they contain, for as long as Instant Tutor operates them. There is no subscription and no recurring charge. We improve the portals continuously and may add, change or retire individual tools as we do.
One purchase covers the children in your household. For personalized progress tracking on features like the AP Command Center, we recommend one purchase per child so each has their own saved data.
3. Access codes
Each purchase receives its own access code, shown on the confirmation page and in your confirmation email. It is for your family's devices only. Posting a code or portal link publicly, reselling it, or sharing it outside your household is not permitted, and we may deactivate a code that is being used that way. If you lose your code, email us from the address used at checkout and we will re-send it.
4. Children and supervision
The Student Portal is for K-12 students using it with a parent's or guardian's permission. You are responsible for supervising your child's use and for the account and device it runs on.
5. Educational tools, not professional advice
Instant Tutor's answers are generated by AI and checked across several independent AI providers. They are still machine-generated and can be wrong. Review important work, and use the tools to learn and practice, not as a final authority.
- The IEP, 504 and accommodation tools produce drafts and general information to help you prepare. They are not legal advice and do not replace your school's IEP team, a licensed professional, or an attorney.
- The focus, reading, social-skills, sensory and emotional-support tools are learning supports. They are not medical, psychological or mental-health care. If a child is in crisis, call or text 988 (U.S.) or your local emergency number.
- Grade forecasts, GPA estimates and benchmarks are estimates based on what you enter; your school's own records and scales govern.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to bypass or probe the access controls, scrape or copy the portals, use automated tools against them, try to make the AI produce harmful or unlawful content, or use Instant Tutor for anything other than personal, non-commercial education. Fair-use limits apply to the AI tools so the service stays fast for every family; we may suspend access that violates these terms.
7. Your content and ours
Your child's essays, answers and other work remain yours. You give us permission to process and store them to run the service and show progress. The portals, their design, prompts, tools and content are owned by Educational Tutorial Services and may not be copied or redistributed.
8. Payments and refunds
Payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal under their terms; we never see your full card number. Sales tax is added where the law requires it. Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy below.
9. Warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability
Instant Tutor is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties, and our total liability for any claim relating to Instant Tutor is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer-protection law does not allow to be limited.
10. Changes, governing law, contact
We may update these terms; the current version is always on this page with its effective date, and continued use after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the United States. Contact: Educational Tutorial Services, info@educationaltutorialservices.com.
Refund Policy
Effective October 13, 2026
3-Day Satisfaction Guarantee. If Instant Tutor is not what you expected, tell us within 3 days of your purchase and we will refund it in full. No questions asked.
How to request a refund
- Email info@educationaltutorialservices.com within 3 days of purchase, from the email address you used at checkout, or include your access code or payment receipt.
- We confirm by email and issue the refund to your original payment method, card (through Stripe) or PayPal. Banks usually show it within 5 to 10 business days.
- Once a refund is issued, your access code and portal access end.
Good to know
- Instant Tutor is a single one-time payment of $14.95 (USD). There is no subscription, so there is nothing to cancel.
- After the 3-day window, purchases are final. If something is not working, contact us anyway and we will put it right.
- On a card statement the charge appears under Educational Tutorial Services, in abbreviated form (for example "EDUCATIONA* INST TUTOR" or "ETS* INSTANT TUTOR"). PayPal statements show "PAYPAL *INSTANT TUTOR". If you do not recognize a charge, email us before filing a dispute and we will sort it out quickly.
